About Us

Queen’s Park FC Foundation is a unique department of the Club that seeks to use the power of football and the brand name of Queen’s Park Football Club to bring benefit to local communities and help improve people’s lives.

Operating in Glasgow’s southside, Queen’s Park FC Foundation works to be intersectional, intergenerational, and interdisciplinary to maximise the impact of our community activities.

Committed to combating poverty and its effects, areas of activity are broad; including raising educational attainment; increasing skills and access to employment opportunities; promoting diverse, vibrant and respectful communities; and providing inclusive health and wellbeing, including opportunities to engage in sport and play.

With a team of 25 staff and sessional coaches, we operate 14 youth football teams, deliver approximately 250 educational inputs per term and are embedded within our community via a multitude of projects, programmes and initiatives.

Our Community Development approach is centered upon an unwavering commitment to nurturing accessible, dignified, and sustainable community spaces. These learning, community, sports environments are alert to those that are marginalised and minoritised in society, invariably underrepresented and unsupported in more traditional, institutional settings.

From community matchday cultural and sport experiences, to cooking health and well-being activities, our programmes go above and beyond by integrating themes that resonate with broader community interests, creating environments where diversity is celebrated and people can connect with peers facing similar challenges, exchange insights, establish supportive networks, learn and lead. This not only strengthens individual bonds but also fosters a collective sense of responsibility and commitment to creating a vibrant, sustainable community for all.

While some programmes involve content that directly challenges societal prejudices and works towards empowerment with communities to recognise and respond to injustice and inequality, many others are designed to embody inclusive values, and are developed with accessibility at heart.
